Build, deploy, and harden AI agents: Three new AWS Jam experiences now available 

You write specs that guide AI coding agents, deploy agents on managed runtimes, and orchestrate multi-agent systems across production workloads. Now you can build those skills in a live AWS environment. 

Today, we’re launching three new AWS Jam experiences focused on agentic AI development: AWS Jam – Spec Driven Development with Kiro, AWS Jam – Building Agentic AI with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and AWS Jam – Building Advanced Agentic Systems on AWS. Each one challenges you to solve real-world problems using AWS services in a team-based, gamified environment; complete with points, leaderboards, and clues when you need them. 

These Jam experiences are available as standalone events or as companion events to their corresponding instructor-led training (ILT) courses. 

Here’s a quick summary of the AWS Jam experiences:

AWS Jam – Spec Driven Development with Kiro 

Prove you can use agentic coding practices to ship production software faster. You’ll work through eight challenges that cover Feature Specs, Bugfix Specs, steering files, MCP servers, Kiro Powers, agent hooks, and custom subagents across realistic development scenarios. 

AWS services covered: Kiro IDE, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, Amazon ECR, AWS Lambda, Terraform MCP Server, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy 

Ideal for: Software developers, technical leads, and DevOps engineers adopting AI-assisted development workflows

AWS Jam – Building Agentic AI with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore 

Prove you can build, deploy, and secure AI agents on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. You’ll work through twelve challenges that cover AgentCore Runtime, Gateway, and Memory; content safety with Bedrock Guardrails; data isolation with IAM; tool integrations via MCP; and production agent troubleshooting across healthcare, retail, pharmacy, financial services, and security scenarios.

AWS Jam – Building Advanced Agentic Systems on AWS 

Prove you can implement production-ready multi-agent systems with advanced orchestration and governance. You’ll work through twelve challenges covering multi-agent communication patterns (including A2A), context optimization, Cedar policy-based access control, monitoring frameworks, and governance controls across manufacturing, compliance, security, and DevOps scenarios.

How AWS Jam works 

Each Jam is a one-day, team-based experience in a live AWS Management Console sandbox. You solve open-ended challenges using real AWS services – no multiple-choice questions, no simulations. If you get stuck, clues are available, but each one reduces your score. A live leaderboard tracks team progress and creates a competitive, engaging learning environment that enhances knowledge retention.
